I had a conference with Jerry O'Brien, the Insulators' Representative on the General Presidents' Committee; Paul Manahan, Business Representative of the Cincinnati Local; Tom Hutchinson, Business Representative of the Dayton Local. It was admitted that the Cincinnati Local was not informed of our Maintenance Agreement. Tom was under the impression that it had only to do with Armco, and, even then, there is a conflict in area of jurisdiction at the New Miami plant which Paul Manahan claims under his area. There is also a question of who told Tom what in regard to which contract. Construction or Maintenance, rate they would be paid. I agreed with Mr. O'Brien that upon receipt of a letter from him, with reasons and justification, we would adjust payment to them under the Construction Contract for this particular job, providing he also include an understanding that in the future any of our clients in the Butler County Building Trades' jurisdiction, with whom we have a maintenance agreement, will be at the agreed upon maintenance contract negotiated with the General Presidents' Committee on Contract Maintenance regardless of Local involved, and he will so advise each Local covering parts of Butler County.
