Ilcr-zer, General Manager of the operations of tills company. Vi: have been enraged, to study the problem of this plant and to make recommendations for its solution. One of my associates has looked into the engineering aspects of the matter and has made recommendations for corrective measures. We are preparing to give every assistance that may be possible on. the medical side of the picture. At this season of the year the hazard of lead exposure is loss than it is during '<no cola weatner 'this is the time, therefore, to plan and carry out the necessary steps. Our purpose is to make the operations safe, and it seems certain 'hat Mr. He-rzer is ready to take the necessary steps. I am sure that you realize that the necessary changes cannot bo made without some delay. Tills particular problem of lead exp os \ire in one of the difficult ones to deal with, for a number of 'mDOJD 'pi:r-.e and some degree or cutting ana trying will be necessary ;c solve some of the difficulties. I am not sure just how we can he of service to you by way of informa tion and cooperation, but I take this means of assuring you that wo shall be pleased to work with you in any manner that may be feasible. We have made a somewhat hurried but not superficial study of the situation and have made certain recommendations which can provide a basis for changes which will require some months to carry out.
