Dear Doctor Holmes j .............. ; .. - I believe you will be interested in some of our find ings on the men seen February li$ and 19 I shall let you have the complete data at a later date when the urines (which have just arrived) have been analyzed# The twenty blood samples which were taken were consistently high and with one or two questionable exceptions did not show evidence of contamination. The bloo&_Q^^fliuLmen contained a concentration of lead ty nigh to lead us to believe they should be removed from lead exposure immediately# These four men also had low blood counts and high numbers of stippled oells# We would also consider it advisable to remove the following men from lead exposure due to relatively high blood lead, low blood count or excessive numbers of stippled cells or a combination of these factors# Blood samples for analyses were not obtained from some of these men and consequently their removal from lead exposure may not appear to be as imperative as it might be had blood _ lead results been obtained# We would like to have your permission to take blood samples from some of the men in the less urgent group and also repeat samples on the first group for further study# X want to thank you again for the courtesy and 00X1- 3505 U: * Dr Paul A.
