These blends replace M-567 and M5680 You till note that 6D20 has been eliminated and the quantity of Blue, reduced by 5SL pounds in each case0 The replacement fiber is liT, either UT28 or W30, which ever is available0 For the prese: t continue to order iiT28 until instructed to change to 4jT30o
Each plant will receive a description of the accounting method by which fiber furr.is . costs are bobe maintained at the level of M-567 and M-568e By agreement with the Fiber Division, the accounting cost of the additional UT req.ired vrill be the same as the combined cost of the 60 and the Blue tr.ich it replaces, thereby naking the cost per pound of 11-581 ioentical to M-567, and M-59C the sane as M-568.
This program has resulted from the cooperative effort of the Fibre Division and Vie Pipe Division to in ex ase the percentage of J-M fibers in our blends The trial runs made at each location during recent ,onths indicate that these new blends will . aintain the present level of strength and recovery*
A detailed report summarizing all the uata from the various trials will be issued at a later date*

Division material costs continue in an excellent controlled* descending pattern inspite of the increase in Jeffrey fiber costs incurred this year, which is undoubtedly the result of a great deal of effort <in your parto After a brief period of break-in on the new blends, I am hopeful that this trend may be continued* All orders for 6D20 at the mine on August 3rd will be converted to 1|T to insure a rapid transition* Your present stocks of 60 should be sufficient to provide for its use in C-209 until the next order and receiving date* C-209 continues as the standard blend for non pressure 10' machine products*
