Dear John: My plans have been made to visit the lead plants in Wilming ton on Monday and Tuesday, April 24 and 25 At this time I will make it a point to see M r . Vasserman to whom I am writing so that I'will he able to arrange to see him if he so desires. In view of Calingaert's letter of March 30 on the glove situation, and in view of other matters that have l^een mentioned by yourself and others as bases for future discussions, it may be that you or some of your people in the Hew York office will wish to be in Wilmington or that^ you will wish me to come along to Hew York. The latter can be"done if it seems desirable, but I prefer not to do it, unless it will serve a necessary and useful purpose. I will appreciate it if you will let me know by wire or otherwise promptly, what your wishes are, for I have already made reservations for my return from Wilmington to Cincinnati, leaving the late after noon of April 25 I indicated to you previously that I was preparing a compre hensive report on the lead plants. As this has gone through various stages of preparation, its scope has increased somewhat, and I find now that I shall not be able to complete it until I can put in several additional days of continuous and concen trated effort. Inasmuch as It Is impossible for me to do this immediately, the report will not be ready as soon as I expected. One aspect of it requires as careful correlation as can be made between the operation of the lead plants and the data relating to the lead exposure and lead excretion of the worker. On this account I should like to have some rather precise information which Is not a matter of record in my office* I am attaching hereto a brief notation listing the type and indicating the nature of the Information I want. Ho doubt some of this Is confidential andias not gone very fay out of your hands. I ' shall not make any use of the more confidential parts of the information, except for my own purposes in arriving at conclu sions which It seems necessary to develop in the report.
