Dear Mr, Ottlinger:
Thank you for your letter, dated May 12, 2017, to the Administrator discussing your thoughts and concerns related to what is in the best interest of our employees, the agency, and the civil service system. Agency leadership shares your appreciation and commitment to the civil service and Federal employees. Currently, Administrator Pruitt's agenda intends to refocus the Environmental Protection Agency on protecting the environment, promoting economic and job growth, and empowering the states. As such, the agency will continue to utilize and invest in the talents of our employees in a manner aligned with our priorities.
Since you mentioned the union management partnership, we want to highlight that the agency recognizes the contributions of the National Partnership Council (NPC). As stated in its Charter, the NPC is dedicated to the accomplishment of the agency's mission, fostering more productive and costeffective sendee to the EPA's customers, and improving the working conditions, career development, and morale of employees.
I thank you for your continued dedication to the agency and our employees. Please contact me at Corbett.krysti@epa.gov or (202) 564-6295 if you have any further questions.
Sincerely,
Krysti J. Corbett Director. Labor and Employment Relations Division
