I understand that you may be down in the next few days or weeks to inspect the plant and make suggestions. Since none of the employees who have high blood leads are suffering clinically, I have elected to let them continue on the ^ob under observation until you can make suggestions as to improvement of the plant facilities. As I mentioned in my first letter, I have been following the employees of this plant for six or seven years and have seen no case of what I would consider serious lead poisoning. All in all, the findings are very puzzling to me. Five of the ten employees, whom you found to be at the toxic level, had been employed there only six weeks prior to the time of the blood samples being drawn. There seems to be no correlation between anemia, stippling and the amount of lead present in the blood. X am looking forward to seeing you when you are here.
