Had th e ir proposed Standard been accepted, the continued use o f U K -3 would have ended in aid-A ugusc. The Standard, however, vas no accepted and w i l l require ad d itio n al rew riting. The a f f e c t o f the proposed r g u le r io n s would have boon the p r o h ib itio n of MK-3. Although there w i l l be a re w rite , i t is extremely lik e ly tha the p r o h i b i t i o n o f prod u cts l i k e MK-3 w i l l remain. The e f f e c t i v e date fo r the changeover fro a MK-3, w hile delayed, appears to be eminent. Cur b est estim ate is m id -co -la te September.
