Over 6 Months age pointed out 1spending need for Monsanto to provide an incinerator, either on Monsanto property or elsewhere to effectively dispose of scrap Aroclor.
We were surprised to learn at a seating last Wednesday that this request has not received support.
July 1969, Jim Bryant distributed a report Indicating the amount of scrap electrical Aroclor for disposal. Today we estimate need to dispose of about 1, OH-lbs, a year of askarels.
About 300,000 pounds need to be incinerated. Hopefully, the remainder can be returned to Monsanto's plants and distilled. Arrangements for distillation, also remain unprovided. If the material cannot be distilled then much more than 300,000 pounds needs to be incinerated.
At the present time our only means for disposal is to a land fill. He are werned that this will no longer be acceptable. Accordingly, Mr. Kountz will now explore incineration and Mr. Kuhn will explore distillation at our plants.
