Kehoe, Dear Dr. Kehoe: You will remember some weeks ago I sent you a letter from El Dorado, Arkansas, asking if lead poisoning could result from uncapping tank cars. In stead of replying to himI had our division manager, Jack Martin, look himup and have a talk with him. The following is Jack's report: v I locat"eIdn MElr.Dorado. On the 31st of March, 1927, he was forced, to quit work due to stomach trouble, dizziness, low blood pressure, and a general run down condition. Shortly before this it was necessary for him to uncap four tank cars which had contained Ethyl Gasoline shipped by the Root Refineries. is probably 60 years old, and his trouble is^reiylikely due to' poor digestion and cir culation. My conversation with him was entirely satis factory, and in fact he and his wife were very grateful to me for relieving their minds. ` "He has had blood tests made.by several very good specialist in Hot Springs, and had also expressed his fear of:lead poisoning to them. While his trouble seems as yet to be undetermined they .assured him it was not lead poison. He still seemed to have had some doubt be cause they admitted they did not knowmuch about it, but after ny talk with himhe assured me that he was greatly relieved and would worry no more about it.
