Dear Sir: In your absence, I called your laboratory and spoke with a Mr. Keith regarding your request for poly chlorinated biphenyls (PCB's) and terphenyl samples. Mr. Keith Indicated that .you specifically desired an Aroclor sample that was closest to the type of PCB's being found In the environment and a sample of polychlorinated terphenyl. I have, therefore, enclosed 10 gram samples of Aroclor 1254, Aroclor 1260, and Aroclor 5460. Aroclor 1254 (54Z chlorin ated biphenyl) and Aroclor 1260 (60Z chlorinated biphenyl) contain dominant amounts of the homologa most often reported In the literature. Aroclor 5460 Is a 60X chlorinated'terphenyl and la representative of the chlorinated terphenyls we produce.
