The mixed paint must not weigh less than 13.9 pounds per gallon with the following Composition: Pigment, per cent by weight. 52*; basic carbonate white Wed, 69* end chrome oxide green, 32*. Vehicle, per cent by areight, 49*; raw linseed oil, 6IV; boiled linseed oil, 33*. and thinner and drier. 6*. Tinting pigments on the finish coat were to consist mainly of black manga nese oxide. All the paint used or the must come fmm an approved supplier hav ing "prior experience in the manufac ture of paints of the general character specified and who can cite structure* other than sample panels on which such paints have rendered satisfactory service for a period of not less thjn five year* when used as components of a three-coat system," the specs said. Traffic on the Benjamin Franklin Bridge is exceptionally heavy, especially in spring and summer months, and spe cial car* is necessary by the painting contractor in order not to interfere with this movement of svhicfew The contractor also was put on notice that the space beneath the Philadelphia and Camden approaches it (eased fur the public parking cf motor vehicles "It is of the utmost importance that the contractor carry on his operation* in these areas in complete cooperation with the operator of said perking facili ties," the agreement made plain. "This particularly applies to the parking efca* between Delaware Ave nue and Second Street under the Cam den approach and between Front Street and Fourth Street under the Philadel phia approach The Authority will notify the operator* of the perking Is cihties so that progressive areas wiU bo available as the contractor works."
