Activities Include development of complex coding guides for establishing animal tumor registry, planning and carrying out analysis of data collected over last 5 years, and preparation of papers on results. Working on design of retrospective study of cat leukemia and human caner in households where the cats resided. At the end of 1967 the Animal Tumor Registry's grant rerminated. For the next six months I worked as Associate Public Health Statistician, for Dr. John E. Dunn, Jr., in Cancer Epidemiology, on two projects: a study of socioeconomic factos related to utilization of cytological screening for cervical cancer, and a field test of sputum cytology as a lung cancer screening tool. My position was eliminated with budget cuts for fiscal 1969, at which time the Animal Tumor registry was re-funded by the American Cancer Society, so I returned to work on it. Avocationally: working on paper identifying through gene frequencies influence of artificial selection process for coat color operating in local, geographically defined cat population; preparing inbreeding coefficients for dogs registered with American Kennel Club and identified as having tumors. 1968-1971, Specialist, School of Public Health, Curriculum in Comprehensive Health Planning Project, University of California, Berkeley, California. Establishing a data bank on health statistics for the nine bay area counties to use as a means to find good indicators for the health status of a given community or area. Exploring these possibilities of computerizing the gathering and analysis of such data collected and the use of such a data bank for individuals concerned with health problems. Analysis of survey data from 12 states with Comprehensive Health Planning grants at both the state and areawlda levels. This study CMA 007074 Harold H. A questionnaire was used to gather information from both the executives and board members reqardlng the operations of their own Comprehensive Health Planning boards, A factor analysis technique-is being used for this analysis. I am advising a doctoral student on the statistical aspects of this study which he Is using for his thesis.
