Sample of 200 mesh material obtained by screening the material from the bottom of Tank # 2 2 . A 25 gram sample was screened. 20 grams remained on the screen. 5 grams passed through the screen.
The peculiar musty odor noticed in the original sample is noticed in the 200 mesh powder. After extracting the 200 mesh material with ether the residue does not have this odor.
0.56^ Lead as organic compounds extractable with ether.
6.11 % Lead both as organic and inorganic compounds.

This is a sample of water in which is floating some particles of iron rust and on top of which is a tarry material. 1.38 mgs. Lead in ether extract of sample. 3.60 mgs. Lead found in 100 c.c of the water. 2.48 mgs. Lead found in the residue remaining after the water
and ether had been separated. This residue was a very small quantity of rust.
