SUBJECT: RESPIRATORY PROTECTION PROGRAMMING
It has been over one year since the CCC Respiratory Protection Seminar was held in Dallas (1/30/80) and your attendee(s) had an opportunity to implement the recommended respiratory protection program for your .
facility.
I would appreciate a brief status report from your location regarding each of the subject elements covered in the 1/30/80 seminar. An outline of the seminar subjects and the attendee list is enclosed.
There has also been some recent question regarding company position pertaining to facial hair policies.
While the subject of facial hair was covered during the seminar, I am enclosing a copy of SPK/96/80, which summarizes company position in
this regard.
1 . Dave Barrett is preparing a summary of the semi-quantatative fit test utilized by Dupont which may be of interest for any location that has not yet completed development of a fit test program.
In addition, if you need any assistance regarding training programs we have several here in Dallas which Bill Adams can make available.
I would appreciate your summaries by November, 1981.

SUBJECT: RESPIRATORY PROTECTION SEMINAR, JANUARY 30, 1980
Attached is a summary of the above CCC Seminar which was held in Dallas. Thank you for arranging representation from your location.
As you can see from the brief program outline and the subject summary, the matter of respiratory protection was covered in detail. The purpose of the seminar was to provide sufficient information and direction to enable each location to compliment existing activities to assure maximum respiratory protection for our employees and achieve compliance levels with the OSHA standards.
I have asked each attendee to meet with you and his/her respective supervisor to review the scope of this subject, how it compares with your existing Respiratory Protection program, and then assist, if required, in establishing necessary action programs relating to inspections, fit testing, levels of protection evaluations, maintenance, etc.
A special thanks to Dave Bremer for arranging to let Les Wallace participate in a major part of this seminar.
The matter of physical disqualification on the usage of respi rators received much attention and discussion. It was agreed that Bob Swanbeck would be diseminating some guidelines on this subject after reviewing with medical, legal and other related departments.
list of seminar attendees.
