j... we went to Northern California, where San Francisco and Oakland just launched climate change nuisance suits against a several fossil fuel producers, litigation that could ultimately force some of the world's biggest coal, oil and gas companies to pay billions in compensation for a range of climate damages.
Getting back in the car, a coalition of states is suing the Transportation Department's Federal Highway Administration for indefinitely delaying implementation of an Obamaera rule requiring states to track greenhouse gas emissions from national highways, charging that the agency is violating the Administrative Procedure Act.
And our daily news roundup noted that North Carolina has joined a coalition of states {that supports the Paris climate agreement, while also looking at how much progress states can make toward achieving the Obama administration's Paris greenhouse gas target.
