Number: NJR000028720 Dear Mr. David Singh: The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is charged with the protection of health and the environment under Section 3008 of the Solid Waste Disposal Act, as amended by the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) of 1976 and the Hazardous and Solid Waste Amendments (HSWA) of 1984, 42 U.S.C. 6901 and 6928. On or about September 5, 2023, I, a duly authorized representative of the USEPA, conducted an inspection of Precision Escalator Products (former Precision Elevator) located at 147 N. Michigan Avenue, Kenilworth, New Jersey 07033. This inspection was performed pursuant to Section 3007 of RCRA, 42 U.S.C. 6927, to evaluate the facility's compliance with the RCRA. Attached you will find a copy of the inspection report I prepared. Although three (3) RCRA regulatory concerns and one (1) general concern were identified by EPA during the inspection (See Section III - AREAS OF CONCERN) the facility representative agreed to address these concerns upon being apprised of them during the course of the inspection.
