HR 8iii Hi iim/tlt In a similar experiment involving ;tha';a^|titution of Hit VO*5<$3 Bodied Q11/&-262 Heavy Mineral Spirita as a replac- ment for the raw oil, we found that a tough, hea i*5* skin developed liiiil in a closed container after seven weeks in the case of the bodied oil formula but no skin was present in the case of the raw oil formula. Since the bodied oil formula did not have the character istic raw linseed oil odor, we substituted one part of the bodied oil with raw linseed oil but found the same skinning characteristics as was evident by the straight bodied oil. These results indicated that neither of these experiments would produce a product satisfactory as to skinning resistance. The introduction of some antfeskinning agent might offer a satisfactory Solution but no work la scheduled to try out this procedure. X60.
