A machine shop 100 feet by 100 feet is being built, wherein the present shop will be installed, giving up val uable space which will be utilized for paint mills and manu- - facturing. The plans are to make all the machinery them- . selves, which is of special design. By increasing: the size and output of the factory it has made it necessary to in stall 300 more horsepower to the power plant. In Boston, Mass., preparations have been made to erect 3b, a varnish factory of modem design, to supply varnishes 1 . i for both the manufacturing and jobbing branches of the ! business. y , By the installation of additional machinery in the new white lead factory in Detroit, the output will almost be 1 triple that of the present time, and be ample for all re- . quirements for some years to come. _ f.. GENERAL PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS. FOUNDATION--To consist of proper materials care fully selected ts may hereafter be specified. The work of lay ing said foundation to be under the direction and supervision of Actneville Engineers. It is expressly stipulated that defec tive foundation material will not render said engineers or the constructors liable to liens, libel or laughter; said engineers taking advantage of, and refuge under the Enjoyers' Inability Act, in this particular case provided. CORNER STONE--Following foundation laying, the corner stone in the constructive work above mentioned shall be carefully placed with appropriate ceremonies. Hymns, sym bolizing and extolling the virtues of various prominent mem bers of the Exchange, shall be rendered by a mixed chorus of Acmeites and a few "G1ad-to-sce-vou' words spoken in behalf of Acmeville. ' FRAMEWORK--Skilled mechanics shall be placed in charge of the various departments of the work to properly supervise and guide the workmen engaged in such construc tion.
