Pruitt's customer report on Ashland Oil and Refining, dated September 30th, which as received in the New *ork Sales Department October 21st. In the first paragraph under "General Services" on page two, it is stated that Mr. Paul Blazer wishes to know whether or not 6 cc TEL may be used in Vitol. At the time of the original conferences with Thompson Vitaaeter Corporation, which were participated in by Dr. Kehoe and the writer, the maximum concentration of lead in Vitol was stated to be 3 cc. There was some question as to whether or not even that amount might result in some hazard, and Dr. Kehoe undertook to investigate the entire problem for Thompson. At the same time, Dr. Kehoe tentatively approved the addition of several fleets in the Columbus experiment. As far as we know, lead concentrations in excess of 3 cc per U. 5. gallon of Vitol fluid would not be approved by Dr. Kehoe.
