TO: Mr. J. B. Hilt, Pyvl PHQM: Mr. J. A. King BITE: March 3, 1981 SUBJECT: CONOCO QUEST ON StfBflO RCttnarrm OTFLUENT A John McCulley of Conoco, Ponca City, Oklahoma (405-767-363*) called to give ue something and to ask for something. He gave: The results of Conoco1s investigation of their tank oar xcess flow valves. Of 50 oars checked, two valves were defective. The oars were purged and the valves were physically checked in some manner with workers inside. The procedure is too expensive to do on a regular basis and they are looking into means of testing the valves in actual peration. They, of course, consider 2 of 50 to be an unacceptable fall rs He asked for: Opportunity to discuss with someone at Perryville th fiweco screening of Suspension Plant solids from effluent. He had heard from a vendor that Perryville had such a device. They are considering a rotating basket screen for their suspension resin waste water. I agreed to come , back to him on this with some answer. Zf we decline to discuss it, he will understand. If there is no proprietary Interest involved, it would ' be a way of continuing our good neighbor policy. r. A. King-^^ JAK/rm c: Mr. 0. J. Kleinert Mr. K. P. Hochschwender Mr. J. ?.
