MINE IN SOUTHERN RHODESIA IS FULL SCALE OPERATION Development of an important new mine in Southern Rhodesia, Africa, is providing J-M with an even greater variety of asbestos fibre than it now obtains from the mines at Asbestos and Munro. The mine is called Temeraire. The Southern Rhodesian fibre is of the ehrvsotile type and is suitable for the manufac ture of asbestos-cement products including Transite Pipe. Temeraire and nearby smaller Shamala Mine are under the operation of Rhodesian Asbestos Limited in which JohnsManville has a fil per cent interest.
