Available in a wide range of types and Herringbonecrimp media design assures higher per formance, larger dirt holding capacity, lower pressure loss, easier cleanability and reduced maintenance costs. Filter frames are galvanized steel. Standard interlocking holding frames are 16-gage steel. Various protective coatings avail able. Recommended net face velocity is 519 fpm although velocities up to 700 fpm may be used. Available in 1 in., 2-in. and 4-in. thicknesses. ROOL-KLEEN AUTOMATIC FILTER Type YOZ panel filter is a viscous coated, impingement filter designed of deep corrugated screen layers to operate at high or low velocities with resistances compatible with system requirements. Type YOZ is especially adaptable for heavy lint loads and is easy to clean. Tailored to the needs of package units, these light weight, sturdily constructed filters are available in 1-in. and 2-in. nominal thicknesses and all standard sizes. Materials offered are steel, alumi num and copper--others on special order. The Far-Air Roll-Kleen is a disposable media filter which replaces the entire filtering area to automatically obtain high efficiency at the pre-selected re sistance. The filter is constructed so that theadhesive coated, glass fibre media is loaded at the top and passes down through the air flow to a replaceable re wind spool. Auto-control system includes motor, gear drive and signal lights as standard equipment. 152 Farr Company HOW TO SPECIFY STANDARD HIGH VELOCITY PAPER FILTER Air System Equipment Air raters 44 FILTERS & FRAMES ROTONAMIC Type HP filter is designed for use in combination with standard FAR-AIR panel filters and holding frames to re move small size dirt particles (under 5 microns) that ordinarily pass through impingement filters. Type HP consists of specially pleated, easily replaceable, flameproof media supported by a wire frame. It is designed for high velocity use with little pressure loss and outstanding efficiency. Offers 9 to 1 ratio of filtration area to face area. Sized to fit 20 x 20 in. holding frames, the filter is 8 in. deep. Recommended for use after impingement filters where excep tionally clean air is required. SELF WASHING FILTERS The Rotonamic is a compact, multiple tube, cyclonic type air cleaner with continuous dirt removal by air bleed. Efficiency averages 98 percent on 5 to 10 micron dust of 2.5 specific gravity. Efficiency is even higher on larger parti cles or on denser material. Rating of 20 x 20 x 4} in. panel is 1000 to 2000 cfm depending on available pressure. Ap parent straight through air flow requires no difficult change in duct direction. Bleed off piping is simple. Deflecting vanes form a high velocity vortex in each tube. Internal reversal of the direc tion of flow doubles the cyclonic action, producing the high efficiency. ENDLESS GREASE ELIMINATORS These completely automatic units wash and re-oil themselves on any frequency cycle desired. Each is made up from 4 in. thick corrosion-resistant filters in combination to meet any cfm require ment. Washing water and contami nated oil is immediately flushed away, eliminating messy sludge and oil sumps. There is no oil entrainment. Each unit "as a safety deluge valve that auto matically prevents fire from passing the unit. Installation is simple and inexpensive. FAR-AIR Endless Grease Eliminators halt the deposit of highly combustible grease and lint in the air ducts, reduce maintenance, protect blower and fan, provide better ventilation and sanita tion.
