The objective has been to provide you with: (1) Information concerning the major activities of your Associations; (2) Dates of meetings and conferences of specific interest to the lead and zinc industries and (3) -A selection of comments from correspondence, publications, and research reports which tell us what others are saying or reporting about our industries. It is impossible, of course, to detail to you in these publications the literally thousands of phone calls and letter requests which the staffs of the two organizations receive each year from end-users, architects, engineers, government officials, students, etc. These range from requests for information on specific applications for one or the other metals (or their derivatives) to input on market surveys; detailed technical information in respect to building a galvanizing line, or the proper (and safe) use of lead glazes in a home pottery business. LEAD LINES and ZINC LINES are strictly internal publications. They do not take the place of ZINC MAGAZINE or LEAD MAGAZINE, both directed to users -- engineers, architects, specifiers, et al -- who have varying interests in the uses of lead and zinc and who, we hope, will use the examples of successful application in finding solutions to their particular problems.
