Glass TO Charles Scott 1R-2 PLAINTIFF'S EXHIBIT 1 have completed the assigned visits as a Visiting Safety Contactor. One Job Performer (Y. M. Goodwin, crane operator in Department 08 11-64) was perturbed about the safety program because he felt none of the "suggestions made by those in his area resulted in any corrective action. I suggest the complaint be investigated and a) corrective action taken, or b) the reasons for no action be explained to the concerned group. (Maybe the basis for concern was not valid.) One specific hazard involved the removal (and replacement) of heat exchangers 10E 65-1, -2, -3 and -4 in Department 10 using a crane. The crane operator was concerned that the pipe above the exchanger could be hit by the boom allowing the pipe contents to flow over the area. He suggested redesign of the plumbing in such a manner that the crucial section of pipe could be removed prior to moving the exchanger.
