JCS-498 1980 I talked with Mike Kendrick today about our practice of sampling ABI for asbestos (and HCHO), processing those samples through our lab to an independent laboratory, paying the independent lab costs, and passing the lab results on to ABI. Mike suggested a minor change in my transmittal letter to ABI, but otherwise saw no reason to change. He felt the Celanese responsibility toward industrial hygiene was strong enough that we could handle the sampling and sample analysis ourselves to assure accurate test ing and results. He saw nothing wrong with our paying the bill directly since the alternative is for ABI to pay and to bill us cost plus 10%. JCS:ds 00247 PLAINTIFFS EXHIBIT
