MANF RE D BOWDI TCH DIRECTOR OF HEALTH AND SAFETY April 2, 1956 Robert A. Kehoe, M. D. Director, Kettering LaboratoryUniversity of Cincinnati Eden Avenue Cincinnati 19, Ohio Dear Bob: Quite belatedly, as a result of a broadcast on lead poisoning on February 6th last by Dr. Samuel P. Bessman, formerly of the Children's Hospital, Washington, and now of the University of Maryland School of Medicine, Baltimore, I have become aware of a paper by him and E.C. Layne, Jr. with the title "A Rapid Procedure For the Deter mination of Lead in Blood or Urine in the Presence of Organic Chela ting Agents1' which appeared in the Journal of Laboratory and Clinical Medicine, January, 1955 I wonder if you have seen this paper. If not, you can doubtless secure a reprint from Dr. Bessman, or I could lend you the one which he has sent me. Needless to say, I would greatly value your estimate of the method which he has evolved and I hope you will be good enough to let me have it. Sincerely yours, MBGW Kfer 0014330
