Burroughs stopped in the office today following a meeting with their.representatives in Chicago to advise us that they wish to let matters rids for awhile before taking any further action.on the matter of the hundred man exposed in treating operations. The analytical results received by the Union from Scott at Washington University were conflicting and the men in question were advised of the results of our analyses to the extent that they were entirely within normal limits. We suggested that it might be a good plan for one of us to visit the Wood Hirer Hefinery and inspect their treating operations to give them an opinion on the overall opportunities for exposure in light of our experiences in other plants, and it is probable that Ur. Burroughs will write in concerning thi3 some time soon. . '* In view of the negative results on the representative samples it did not seem advisable to recommend that they have the entire group surveyed, either by analytical or medical methods at present.
