HEW YORK, SEPTEMBER 28, 1967 - Henry J. Whitson has been elected a vice president of National Lead Company. Mr. Whitson is manager of pigments and
chemicals sales. Mr. Whitson was first employed by National Lead Company in
1932 as a member of the research laboratories staff then located at Brooklyn.
Later that year he became sales representative for lead pigments and oxides at New York City. In I9I0 he was appointed assistant sales manager of dry pigments for the Atlantic Branch and named sales manager in 1942. He became assistant to the company's sales manager, paint, pigments and chemicals in 1948. He was named assistant sales manager of pigments and chemicals in February of 1963 and manager in October of the same year. In 1966 he was elected president of Landover Manufacturing Company, a wholly owned company subsidiary producing
acrylic plastic sheets. He is a director of Lead Industries Association and a member
of Drug, Chemical and Allied Trades Association, American Association of Battery Manufacturers, and New York Paint, Varnish and Lacquer Association.
Mr. Whitson received his B.S. degree from Princeton University.
