Boilers TX 122968 0/N 561-B-l, TX 122967 0/N 561-B-2, TX 122966 0/N 561-B-3, Unfired Steam Boilers TX 124632 0/N 553-B-1B, TX 124637 0/N 553-B-1B, TX 124636 0/N 553-E-5B, TX 124638 0/N 553-E-5A, TX 124642 0/N 521-E-ll, TX 124639 0/N 554-E-l, and Steam Drums TX 124643 0/N 521-V-13 and TX 124640 0/N 527-V-12 General Inspection of Production Pressure Vessels, Centrifugal Compressors, and Power Transformers RECOMMENDATION B85-6-1 It is recommended that alternate methods of supplying the 4,160 V buses in this plant be provided. Comments: The 4,160 V buses for the Coker, No. 5 Platformer, and the Hydrotreater each supply the recycle compressor and charge pumps for the train. These supplies are each by one transformer. There are no cross connects, spare transformers, or backup supplies provided. The potential loss of either of these three buses could provide a significant amount of unscheduled downtime in the affected unit. These alternate methods include, but are not limited to, a spare transformer or installed bus cross connect devices. Boilers TX 34821 O/N 5 and TX 100602 0/N 61-B-1C Internal and Certificate Inspection of W.T. Boiler TX 107509 O/N 61-B-1A COMMENTS Examination of the fireside, waterside and external surfaces of W.T. Boiler TX 107509 revealed no evidence of defects or adverse conditions. Examination of W.T. Boilers TX 34821 and TX 100602, while in service, revealed no evidence of defects or adverse conditions about the accessible pressure parts, piping, valves or safety devices. Review of records indicate the low water fuel cutoff devices are manually tested by the quick drain method on a daily basis. Records also indicate the safety valves are removed and bench tested on an annual basis. Overall boiler conditions appear satisfactory for continued operations. Certificates were issued.
