Re: Thanks for M tg w ith us & small follow up
Thanks, Maureen, and I also want to express my own great appreciation for our meeting and for all the wonderful folks at EPA who have worked so hard through the years to protect our environmental and public health!
As some additional follow-up to the issue of the EPA website and its utility for those o f us expecting ease-of use and accessibility to critical information commensurate with the public's right-to-know, please note the Op-Ed "Censoring Climate Change" from today's New York Times indicating significant continuing problems underscoring issues we raised at the meeting: Opinion | Censoring Climate Change

I certainly find these latest claims disturbing, and trust that EPA can promptly address and correct any deficiencies in its webpage that would unnecessarily restrict the ability o f scientists, health professionals and the general public to easily obtain the most up-to-date scientific information germane to the protection o f our health, and all generations that follow.
Sincerely,

Dear EPA staff, Just a quick note now that I'm finally back home and catching up with lost time.... Mostly I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who participated in the Nov 9th meeting that had been arranged by the PSR Staff, Barb Gottlieb and Kathy Attar. I sincerely enjoyed meeting all of you and sharing thoughts with you and my colleagues. As mentioned we in PSR are all very supportive of EPA efforts to protect our air, water, climate and health. Without these essential elements of life, what else is there?! So thanks and please keep up all the good work. I did however want to clarify a small point of contention that arose during the meeting about what is/is not currently available on the web, and who says what with what proof? Once I was free to recheck the site I mentioned I had tried to access approximately a week before our meeting, I found the entry I've pasted below. Contrary to what was implied, I did not assert the page was gone because of something I had read elsewhere. At the time I was looking for the specific site, in a hurry as always, I went on to the next thing on my list which was also not available--no fault of the EPA. In a time crunch, the episode was frustrating as conveyed. With time to continue to hunt for the site after the fact, I eventually found the original site with the red Archived banner as described by Liz Bowman. In sum, we were both right! Interestingly, I also found said site posted elsewhere by another org, but maintaining the EPA logo. Generally, I tell my students, if at first they don't succeed in finding a specific article on a specific site look around using other clues. I needed to follow my own advice--and so I will! Thanks again so much to all of you for your hard work to make our only home healthy, habitable, and humane. Sincerely, Maureen
