Date: May 31, 1977 Subject Caution Label, 9P135N Neoprene Coated NOVATEX^ Enclosed is the results of a test performed with 9P135N neoprene coated NOVATEX cloth to determine the probable dust counts when the product is used under actual conditions. Pat Cooper designed the test and supervised the work. I am confident that the test represents the use of the product under actual conditions and conditions just as severe as we could reasonably expect the product to be subjected. The summary sheet shows that the highest fiber count was 0.14 and the highest TWA was 0.10. These counts included a background that ranged from 0.04 to 0.09. Since the market situation with this product, 9P135N Neoprene Coated NOVATEX, is urgent^ we are using this test as Justification to discontinue application of the caution label on it. We will 'proceed with this unless you see reason for us to hold up. For comparison purposes, we have also tested 9P135N SEALSAFE*11* NOVATEX and L-71-1133 SEALSAFETM conventional under the same test conditions.
