SPLICING MATERIALS 9/78 The F catter-presser has all the same features and components as the D cutter-presser except that it has a hydraulic hand-operated pump for use with the 710 connector system instead of a pneumatic-hydraulic pump. The 835A1 cutter-presser is a hand lever operated tool used to cut and press 25 pairs of conductors at one time. The tool has provision for connection to the 152A Test Set for testing purposes. The 8S6A cutter-presser is a lightweight, plier-type, hand-operated tool for cutting and pressing five pairs of conductors into the 710 connector module at one time. All 25 pairs are pressed by sequentially traversing the connector in 5-pair increments. The B hand pump, AT-8827, is a hydraulic, hand-operated pump with a quick-disconnect and is used as a substitute for the pumps used on the B, C, D, and E cutter-pressers. The pump assembly is furnished with a male and female quick-disconnect, which is compatible with the quick-disconnect on the B hand pump, for modification of existing customer tools with a minimum of changeover time. The hand pump is part of the F cutter-presser and can be used either horizontally or vertically with the handle pointing up. The 710A tool mounting is a universal system for mounting all cutter-presser tools.
