SAFETY
Two first aid injuries were treated during the week.
VCM DOSIMETRY
Thirty-two samples were taken, twenty-eight below 0.5 ppm and four between 1.1 and 1.9 ppm.
VINYL UNIT
Rate at 399 M lbs. per day at 93.4% customer grade. Made 73 batches of 5385, 5425 and 5446 at 85.9% Type I. Reactor stream factor for the week was gl.1%. Open warehouse space is now approximately 5.5 MM pounds.
Loss in stream factor and low daily rates for this week are due to the severe cold weather. Some stream factor was also lost while replacing the VCM charge pump seal.
BC H grade production was high due to gel and particle size problems encountered during the severe weather.

COMPOUND UNIT
Line I averaged 72 M pounds per day. The off-grade reported this week was accumulated mill scrap. The cumulative off-grade figure is 0% due to reworking of BC grade.

Plasticizer ran 2 days averaging 27 M pounds per day. Plasticizer operations have been restricted to allow installation of storage tank level gauges and to conserve propane.
The plant has been operating the boilers, dryers, etc. on propane continuously due to natural gas curtailment since 1/15/77 (except for one 24 hour period). We are working with NG GP and Houston Purchasing in order to insure adequate propane supply.
