Ryder SUEJECT: Akron, New York Gypturn Division Plant Pulmonary Functional/chest X-Ray/ Blood-Gas Examination Reports DATE: November 4, 1974 LOCATION: Portland, Oregon LOCATION: Stamford, Connecticut Submitted herewith you will find photocopies of the recently completed examination and evaluation reports from Marvin L Amdur, M.D. of the Buffalo Industrial Medical Center for twenty-one (21) employees of the Akron, New York Gypsum Division Plant. I have reviewed the reports submitted by Dr. Amdur and have either checked and/or underlined in red the information I consider pertinent. Examination reports indicate that one employee, ~ -~ __ has significant pulmonary fibrosis, five employees have mild to moderace ventilatory impairment or emphysema Indications, one employee has a history of asthma without evidence of disability, one employee with a history of chonic bronchitis with minimal Increase in bronchovascular markings possibly due to obesity and the remaining thirteen employees with normal findings. It is noted that under date of 10/30 Jim Hurd requested Jack Rauch to completely Investigate the work history of Mr. McCarger which appears to be entirely appropriate. May I suggest that you review the entire set of twenty-one examination reports with Mr. Hurd and advise this writer as to the appropriate course of action we should now take.
