Thank you! Please use this updated bio. Is the plan still for you to introduce him at the large event, Mike?
Scott Pruitt was confirmed the 14th Administrator of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in February of last year.
Since the beginning of his tenure, Pruitt has been committed to ensuring EPA gets back to the basics of managing our environment by engaging with state, local and tribal partners to create regulatory certainty and enhancing economic growth.
Administrator Pruitt has spearheaded over two dozen significant regulatory reform actions including proposing to rescind the 2015 'Waters of the United States' rule in order to restore states' role in the regulatory process and ensure clarity for affected farms and landowners.
Pruitt is a strong believer in the importance of environmental stewardship and has said farmers are amongst our country's first environmentalists and conservationists whose input should be valued.
Making it a priority to get out of DC and into communities across the country, Administrator Pruitt has visited nearly 30 states over his first year to meet directly with stakeholders who often went ignored by the previous administration.
Other significant accomplishments in year one have included reforming EPA's scientific advisory boards to ensure geographic diversity and integrity, ending the agency's 'Sue and Settle' practices and addressing dicamba spraying issues by expediently negotiating a labeling agreement last summer.
Prior to serving the Trump Administration, Pruitt Attorney General of Oklahoma where he became a national leader through a career of advocating to keep power in the hands

of hard-working Americans.
Pruitt also served eight years in the Oklahoma State Senate in addition to co-owning and managing Oklahoma City's Triple-A minor league baseball affiliate.
Pruitt played baseball at the University of Kentucky, earned his bachelor's degree from Georgetown College and received his law degree from the University of Tulsa. He and his wife Marlyn have been married for 27 years and proudly raised their two children in Tulsa.
