NATIONAL LEAD Environmental Health Department W. L. MANN Manager March 12, 1971 Dr. J. F. Cole, Sc. D. Manager, Environmental Health Lead Industries Association, Inc. 292 Madison Avenue New York, New York 10017 Dear Jerry: As discussed with you by telephone yesterday returned herewith are the sample paint chips you for warded from Miss Nancy F. Buck of Mount Airy, North Carolina. After considering this request, we feel that the analysis may be used against a paint manufacture, and we would prefer that the work be done by an inde pendent laboratory. After our discussion, I think we agree that it would be best to send the material back to Miss Buck with the suggestion that she forward it directly to a laboratory herself for an unbiased analy sis. We would suggest the following laboratories for her consideration: Ledeoux Laboratory 359 Alfred Avenue Teaneck, New Jersey Tel.201/837-7160 U. S. Testing Co. Inc. 1415 Park Ave. Hoboken, N.
