Dear Dr. Gibson* " I am sending you herewith a report giving our analytical results on the urine and blood of your patient, Robert Flynn. I believe it is fair to ay that these analytical results tend to substantiate the conclusion which you arrived at, that this man's symptoms were due to lead absorption. It is quite apparent that he has had some significant lead exposure. The two results are quite in agreement, and both are well above normal levels. The result on the blood is especially significant, since it is [more than twice the mean normal level. Inasmuch as the sample was obtained almost a month after the discontinuance |pf exposure, it is probable that the result would have been higher If the sample had been obtained earlier. In any case, these results are compatible with the diagnosis of lead intoxication. In accordance with your request I am sending you herewith a bill to cover the actual cost of the analyses.
