Westerman (AR)- White Rock Mountain road repair Good afternoon all, WHITE ROCK MOUNTAIN ROAD & EAST FLY GAP ROAD (AR) DESCRIPTION: Multiple landslides from rainfall events in 2020, 2021 and 2022 have affected White Rock Mountain Road (FR-1003) on the Ozark -- St. Francis National Forest in Arkansas. In spring 2022, a rainfall event damaged the western section of White Rock Mountain Road and the East Fly Gap Road (see attached location map). The resulting roadway and landslide damage repair costs are eligible for Federal Highway Administration's (FHWA) Emergency Relief for Federally Owned Roads (ERFO) funds. The FHWA Eastern Federal Lands Highway Division (EFLHD)'s White Rock Mountain Road and East Fly Gap Road project ("the project") will consist of the following: 1. reconstruct approximately 380 feet of White Rock Mountain Road with a 6-inch gravel surface and an embankment system, replace a culvert, recondition the road and ditch, and reconstruct the aggregate pavement structure. 2. reconstruct and realign approximately 700 feet of East Fly Gap Road, using a 6inch gravel surface and an embankment system. LOCATION AND CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT: Ozark -- St. Francis National Forests, Franklin County, Arkansas. Congressional District number 3.
