SUBJECT: FACTS ABOUT LEAD AND PEDIATRICS BULLETIN
To Members of Lead Industries Association, Inc.
Enclosed is our newly published bulletin "Facts About Lead and Pediatrics" and its companion pamphlet "Lead Poisoning in Children" a publication of the Children's Bureau, U.S. Department of Health, Education and Welfare, reprinted with their consent by LIA. Both book lets cover in detail the problem of childhood lead poisoning, its causes, symptoms and treatment.
The two booklets are being distributed by LIA to medical and public health officials, interested parties, legislators, and the press. We feel this to be a positive contribution from the lead industry for coping with the problem of lead poisoning in children.
More and more communities are becoming concerned with lead paint poisoning among children. If you know of any local action about this problem, you may find it useful for you personally to give copies of the "Bulletin" to local health or other officials. Also we would appreciate being informed of any developments relating to the lead paint problem.
Extra copies of the publications are available upon request.
Sincerely yours.
