The c a r d i n a l symptcm i s p r o f u s e and u n c o n t r o l l a b l e b l e e d i n g i c l i c k i n g t h e m o s t t r i v i a l i n j u r y . Often the hemorrhage comes from the m e re st s c r a t c h and may even come s p o n t a n e o u s l y . The b l o o d shows a marked slowness in coagulation. It is occasionally a sso c iated w ith haem ephila and th e fa m ily h i s t o r y i s o d ecid ed importance a is a m arked h e r e d i t y i s c h a r a c t e r i s t i c o t h e c o n d i t i o n . `' P u r p u r a haemorrhagica often lacks the peculiar family history ana occurs m ost f r e q u e n t l y in p erso n s d e b i l i t a t e d by improper l i v i n g . | | !
