We are operating without the cooling water in the pellet cooler shell cue to leaks. The screw does not appear to provide adequate cooling by itself, and throughput is down to insure pellets cool enough to be wrapped in plastic. A new pellet cooler trough is to be installed 5/21/Sl. There were no major problems in this circuit. The main plant produced at 94.2 tons/day or 97% of plan. The loss of the pellet cooler shell caused slow production when making Supervis. The retained heat caused melting of the bag wrap when op erating the dryer at normal temperatures. We, therefore, ran the dryer at lower temperatures which cut into the production rates. When we got into bulk cars at the end of the week we attempted to repair the shell. However, it appears to be rusted through in too many spots. We have a new shell here and are looking into what will be required to replace it. This may cause some down time. Appar ently much time was lost due to having the bagger help the wet endoperator fix leaks in the dryer dust collector. The secondary Rietz mill is again operating and the second filter press is once again in service. The wet end should now be able to feed the dryer at capacity. The main circuit produced at 65-93 tons/day or 68$ of average plan. With high purity we actually need to produce around 75-80 tons/day to absorb at a proper rate.
