CCIG is an ad-hoc coalition of more than a dozen electric generating companies with diverse assets that monitors regulatory and litigation developments in the areas of waste, water and wildlife. Our quarterly meetings are informal and discussion oriented. While the majority of the meeting consists of presentation by Baker Botts attorneys, we routinely host speakers from relevant agencies and environmental and other groups. For example, several years ago we were fortunate enough to host Susan Bodine at one of our meetings. Our group is following a number of EPA rulemaking initiatives, including the definition of "Waters of the U.S." and hydrological connection, and permitting initiatives, including on state water quality standards. I am confident that your remarks would be received warmly and with great interest. We are flexible as to the schedule of events for the day and could accommodate you at any time between 10 am and 4 pm on September 20. Thank you for considering our invitation; please do not hesitate to contact me if you have questions or would like additional information regarding CCIG.
