October 29, 1954 Mr. Francis B. Elder Associate Secretary Committee on Research and Standards The American Public Health Association, 3hc. 1790 Broadway New York City 17 Bear Mr. Elder: Mr. Cholak has replied for both cf us to the letters addressed to himself and to me (October 22) concerning the report on lead analyses, with particular reference to suggested changes in the text. However, I feel called upon to express my approval of the procedure which you have proposed for allocating responsibility for the report. The matter of credit is not too important to Cholak or myself, and as you will have suspected, the work was mostly Cholak*s. But I hive always believed that it is of some consequence to indicate the sources of methods and views. This is helpful to everyone involved, but especially to the consumer of the product. Cordially yours. RAK ef Robert A. Kehoe, M. D. K? 0015375
