The enclosed set of General Conditions of Inquiries shall apply except that Petrochemical shall furnish all paint. SURFACE PREPARATION Surfaces where primer has failed and surfaces that have not been painted shall be prepared according to"Steel Structures Painting Council Surface Preparation, No. 2 Hand Tool Cleaning." PAINTING I. All steel surfaces, except machinery, that have not been primed and with operating temperatures below 200 F. A. One coat of Briners #2810, 2-3 mils, D.F.T. B. One coat of Briners #2809, 2-3 mils, D.F.T. C. One coat of Briners #1311, 1 to 1% mils, D.F.T. II. All steel machinery surfaces that have not been primed and with operating temperatures below 200 F. A. One coat Briners #2810, 2-3 mils, D.F.T. B. One coat Briners #2809, 2-3 mils, D.F.T. C. One coat Briners #2807, 2-3 mils, D.F.T. III. All steel surfaces with operating temperature fi'ora 200 F. up to 450 F. A. One coat Briners #4195, 2% to 3% mils, D.F.T. B. One coat Briners #2966, 1 to 1% mils, D.F.T. All paint materials shall be applied according to Manufacturer's recommended specifications unless otherwise specified by Coastal States Petrochemical Company. SURFACE PREPARATION Blowdown drum and table to be sandblasted according to "Steel Structures Painting Council Surface Preparation Specifications, Near White Blast Cl ean, S. P.-10". Exterior surfaces of electrical switchgear house to be washed with Sodium Meta-Silicate. (Ratio of 10 parts water to 1 lb. Sodium Meta-Silicate.) All surfaces shall be free of contaminants.
