RUBEROID CALSILITE
an improved calcium silicate insulation for use on process and power steam piping and equipment
Caisilite offers distinct application advan
tages to the cost conscious user. Caisilite
tnsuiations are quickly and easily applied,
light and convenient to handle. Caisilite
sections fit accurately on standard pipe
sizes, finish smoothly and provide a fine,
neat appearance with a minimum of labor
cost Caisilite -- normally provided with
standard weight canvas jackets -- may also
be finished with heavy canvas or other
types of weatherproof jacketing.
Advantages:
Improved thermal design: Radical new formulation of Caisilite means superior strength and durability under almost any exterior or interior Industrial conditions. Caisilite is non-soluble in water and is not affected by most normal adds and alkalis. K retains its shape under all conditions, including excessive condensation, high humidity . . . even complete saturation ... yet returns to normal thermal effitiancy whan dried out.
Improved texture: Texture of Caisilite is so fine that insulation can be easily-cut for any application. Even the smallest segments can be mitred with a minimum of breakage or erumbfing. Reduction in loss of material means increased savings.
Esse of application: Caisilite is easy to fabricate, even for the most involved or detailed application. No spe cial equipment required. Compatible Ruberoid cements finish joints and fittinp neatly and evenly.
Variety of shapes and sizes: Made in half-sectional, three segmental and regular segmental shapes ss well as block forms. Caisilite eliminates the need to stock a variety of different types of insulation. Sizes corre spond to standard iron pipe and copper tubing.

RUBEROID T/NA 100 multi-purpose insulation jacketing
superior in appearance... superior wherever atmospheric conditions present severe maintenance problems... no specialized installation
Ruberoid T/NA 100 is a new and revolutionary material that represents a major break-through in the field of insulation jacketing. T/NA 100 is the first and only flexible jacketing to be vir tually fireproof and provide unparalleled resistance to outdoor weathering. Because of its un usual flexibility and workability, T/NA 100 simplifies the application process and offers : significant saving in installation costs. The versatility of T/NA 100 makes it as effective fc: covering insulated tanks as for protecting insulated piping. Ruberoid T/NA 100 combines asbestos fibre, an inorganic material of established durabiiit and flame resistance, with Tedlar,** a new PVF film of unique characteristics that has beedeveloped in the laboratories of Du Pont. The asbestos fibre is formed into a tough asbesto; felt, using an elastomeric binder. "Tedlar" is permanently laminated to the asbestos felt wit: an elastomeric adhesive. Ruberoid T/NA 100 also eliminates any need for painting or weatherproofing, thus setting standard of durability and maintenance-ease never before attained in any insulation-jacketin material.

Features;
Flexible: Tough and flexible over wide temperature range, from minus 50*F to over 200* F. Flame-resistant: T/NA 100 has been labelled with a flame spread rating of 25 by Underwriter's Laboratories. Inc Weather-resistant: Exposed surface is `Tedlar" and is essentially unaf fected by ultra-violet light Wilt not chalk, craze or erode on exposure; will not corrode in industrial atmospheres. Chemical and solvent resistant: Retains its form and strength even when boiled in strong acids and bases. Unaffected at ordinary temperatures by many classes of common solvent including hydrocarbons and chlorinated solvents. T/NA 100 is impermeable to greases and oils, is unaffected in strength and appearance by soil bacteria. Designed for multi-purpose use: Flexibility of material permits its use over large areas as well as narrow-diameter pipelines. Resistant to puncture and abrasion: Tough 'Tedlar" surface is designed to take wear and tear. Easy to repain Damage can be readily repaired by patching with T/NA 100 Finishing Tape. Bright white surface: Attractive, highly reflective Other colors under development.

Special Fiber insulation
for insulating housings, plenum chambers, and air conditioning ducts in offices,
factories, institutional and commercial buildings of ail kinds
rs i
This insulation is felted from long, tough, super-springy siliceous fibers of unusual fineness. Extremely low in thermal conductivity, it has a temperature limit of 450* F. The fibers are non-absorptiva, corrosion-resistant moisture-resistant and incombustible. They have been treated to resist capillary action, wilt neither rot nor mildew.
