We offer the following comments: 1. Since Section VIII Discussion and Section IX Sunvnary&Conclusions will probably be read and quoted more often than the body of the report and since both sections mention lung cancer, we recommend that a statement about the absence of workers' smoking histories and the influence smoking might have on workers' health be included on page 21 and again on page 22. 2. A possible source of bias is indicated in the last sentence of the second paragraph on page 4, Section B. 3. The follow-up study. Section B, page 5, is a very good one.
