No. 56602-R) Dear Jeff: The purpose of this letter is to summarize our con ference on Friday, May 15, 1987 regarding the VMC-100 pesticide registration application. We appreciate your efforts in deter mining the status of the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) review of the supplemental VMC-100 registration data sub mitted on March 11, 1987. You informed me that review of the supplemental chemistry data is complete. You also stated, during our conference, that the VMC100 registration package is missing the required storage stability study. I expect this letter to clarify that point. The supplemental data we submitted in March, on behalf of our client, Vista Chemical Company, included an accelerated (30day) storage stability study (see Vol. 3). The storage stability study outstanding is a long-term (12-month) study started in March, 1987. You informed Thomas Grumbles of Vista Chemical Company in a letter dated November 20, 1986 that, "... 12-month data VVV 000008864 Mr. Jeffrey C. Kempter May 20, 1987 Page 2 Keller and Heckman within 2 years must be submitted after the granting on the registration." Since our client is currently on a schedule to complete the 12-month study by March, 1988, and the VMC-100 registration has not yet been granted, we see no reason why the above condition cannot be met. We are aware of no other data requirements to be met in this case. In addition, we specifically requested in the March submission that the Agency comment on the 12-month study protocol.
