We have a problem that I hope you can help us with. The problem Is that we melt many of our alloys In a vacuum furnace and we use 16" ring Jet oil diffusion pumps In order to achieve the desired vacuum level. We have been buying Aerochlor vacuum pump oil (a ohlorinated hydrocarbon) from Monsanto here In the states but it Is my understanding that the American branch of your firm no longer makes this product because it Is not biodegradeable and therefore subject to pressure from our environmentalists. Does the U.K. branch of Monsanto produce this type of product and If so, oould we purchase either 200 or 400 gallons. If you do not produce an equivalent product, could you recomend another U.K. source, perhaps something that one of your investment casting customers might use. The operating pressure of this vacuum tank Is 3 - 100 microns and the forepump lines operate at 250 - 700 microns. Any light you can shed on our problem would be of great help to us. Thank you.
