BAMAZ> DANA CORPORATION
Attention: Mr. Mike Zarella
Gentlemen:
Subject: Production Build With Angle Spring Clutch
Mr. Carl Osenbaugh, Senior Product Engineer, and I were in Allentown on July 24, 1968 to observe the first few vehicles being built with the Angle Spring Clutch. We were able to look at the first five installations in various stages of assembly.
Manufacturing brought up a question pertaining to the proper adjustment of the clutch, with which we met with your Mr. Warmkessel and Mr. Joseph, Attached is a letter re quested by your people from our Mr. Osenbaugh, giving our viewpoints of the adjustment on the assembly line.
The next thirteen vehicles will be moving into the line the week of August 12, 1968. It was mutually agreed that it will not be necessary for us to be present at that time. However, if a problem should arise, we will be readily available.
If you should require any further information on the above, please contact us.
Sincerely,
DANA CORPORATION Clutch fe Marine Division
